Default XT1 engine problem
I have a 2019 XT1. We can't get it to idle down. It has a Kohler Courage 24HP in it. When we crank it, it almost sounds like it's blowing up. Any suggestions ?

First things first,,, Welcome to OCC!

As for your machine, I personally have little experience with the new Cubs but based on general engine info, take a good look at your throttle linkage around the carburetor. With the engine off, move the throttle lever up and down on the dash, and watch the linkage at the carb.

It should move freely, though IIRC the throttle on the carb itself should stay wide open because of the governor.

Check both ends of the throttle cable.
The end under the dash has been know to fail this can cause your problem.
