This is where I got mine.

Two ends go to the armatures, the single end goes to a spade connector on a stud mounted on the blower housing, right side of the engine inside. Outside, another spade connector the tractor engine harness connects to.

If you don't have the engine harness connected on the outside, you can't ground the armatures to kill the engine.

I found wiring schematic on-line
I know there is some on this forum
I'm still learning to navigate the site

Previous owner had yellow wire attached to fuel solenoid.

Looks like I got some wiring to trace down.

I am one to share info.
I will try to make things clear when I have this back up to Par.

I have been tracing wires for weeks (when I have time)

I have been working a lot of hours at work.

Here is what I have found in my spare time.

I used the Wiring Diagram for 1641 that is shared on this site.

What I found was Previous owner swaped terminals in the plugs

The Ground terminal was in the switch the blue terminal was on ground to switch.

I have got only one more issue to resolve then I will fire it up.

Yes
After I found the bad diode that was pinched in the engine guards
on the 1st page of this thread.

Thanks to help from Cannon51 & Mike McKown

I used the wiring diagram in the link above .

I removed the harness and reconfigured it like it's supposed to be.

The PO had moved wires around in the ignition switch
For what reason


It runs like a top now.
