Default New adoption: 1863 parts tractor

I just picked up an 1863. It's in running condition, complete less plastic.
I intend to use the motor in my 2084, and transfer the 3-point to the 2084 also
I have questions:

Is the engine mounting plate the same on the 1963 & 2084?

To transfer the 3-point, I think I need a longer lift bar and everything else is the same, correct? Where to get that, used or new?
This looks like a pretty simple swap. Anything else I need to know?

There is also a little unloader knob on the transmission tunnel. Is this so you can roll or tow it without damaging the hydro? Should I move this to my 1864?

Any input much appreciated

The engine plates are the same as your 2084 and 1864. The hydro is different in an 1863 and 1864 and 2084. Not sure about the lift question.

What is wrong with your 2084 engine? I remember you having a thread on it a few months back.

So the hydro is the same on 1863/1864, but different on the 2084?

Spent some time on it, never got it running right. I suspect a head gasket failure but never got around to testing it. I’ll drop this one in it and then build the original for a spare

No, the 1863 uses a Hydro-Gear transmission and the 1864 has the Sunstrand, they are different. Aaron will have your lift bar. http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
