Hello from upstate NY. No where near the city.
Thanks for having me . I just picked up my first Cub Cadet. We always had Famalls on the farm growing up so when I found myself in need of solid garden tractor, a Cub Cadet was the only choice. I purchased a 1450 and when I went to pick it up the guy gave me 1250 minus the motor and 6 boxes full of parts. Ooh yeah take this extra hydro with you too. Major score for me. I love to tinker with stuff and it looks like that 1250 will give me plenty of tinker time.

Welcome, and I believe that should read "No where near the EVIL city." LOL!!
I'm hanging out up here near Owego with my cranky new-to-me 127. Where roughly are you, and your 1450 at?

We are right in the middle of Wayne County. I also have 3/4 of a 1250 its missing the engine. I may make that my "pretty" one. The 1450 has been ridden hard and put away wet most of its life from what I can see. So its going to be my work horse.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
