And Dave we bought the 2086 with the IH sticker already on the tractor and I just can't find the heart to remove it.
I'm with you, no need to remove it! I have to tell you I keep looking at that picture. Who is on the 2084?

Are you guys running any weight on the back of the tractor?

PaulS is on the 2084-(He is my Father) and yes, his has the 75lb cub weights and the 2086 has 100 pounds of homemade concrete weights made by him and I. Some day when I get a little more time I will do a write up of how he and I went through the process. Thanks.

That's great Eric and Paul, you guys almost have a matched set. I'd be curious for your opinion on the Kohler vs. Kawasaki since you get to run them side by side.

I saw the wheel weights, wondered if you needed any weight out back, sounds like it's fine without it. I have a steel box bolted in back that I put some steel weight into, balances my blade very well, plus I also have 75# wheel weights and chains like your setup.

Both are listed to fit my 2182, so must be a minor change improvement.

I think the 1811 is going to lose the deck and get the 450 blower year round. 1711 has a sleeve hitch, so more useful for rear mounted attachments.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
