Homemade Pin Pusher
I ordered some driveline parts and I may have to remove the hydro drive coupling. I've read lots of posts about the misery associated with getting the pins out. So while waiting for the primer to dry on another shop project, I made this up. I had a handy piece of 5/8" square hot rolled, but really should have scrounged around for a piece of key stock. Much nicer to drill and tap. I did take pics of the process if anyone is interested in making one.

I believe a person could make a very workable tool with just a piece of key stock, a piece of threaded rod and a 5/15" bolt. All you'd need would be a drill press and a hacksaw, or grinder with a zipcut blade.
finruskw, I'll take some pics when my parts show up. The flex coupling bolts should be removed and I still need to have the tractor under power right now. I think the easiest would be to remove the oil filter, but since your likely to have the drive shaft off anyway if you are removing that pin, I'll try that first. This tool is wide enough for the rockshaft as well. I don't work fast enough to turn a profit.

I used the pin pusher and it all went good, other than I need a hardened end. The cheap threaded rod was pretty chewed up. Definitely be easier with either the lines off or the filter removed. But then, with the filter removed, a jack with a socket on top and a proper pin punch would work great.
