It sounds like your 782 has the IH cast iron rear end with the aluminum axle tubes. My 982 has the same setup and it has been fine even with a three point.
I would personally try to mount the radiator in the front, but if you can make it work in the back that would probably be fine, though you may have to add more venting. Whenever I do an engine swap the first thing I do is get the engine blocked up in the tractor and check the driveline alignment and clearance, as well as the front PTO alignment. Once everything is in place you can see if you have any other interference issues and proceed with measuring and fabricating engine mounts.

The Diesel is Done!
Well, its been a good long while since I posted on this thread, so I figured I'd give an update. My 782 is running great with the Kubota diesel, and you can check it out on my youtube channel, as I have quite a few videos of it there.
