I will give this a try. I just placed a order for 1, and if it works, will order some more to keep in hand. Thanks for the info.

You might put a drop of red Loctite on it to help hold it in.

Those may be two-piece.
See if you can un-screw the zerk,
then you can drive in the "drive" half, and re-install zerk.
Make sure you have the hole for the zerk pointed correctly before driving in.

the most part is the clearance to tap it down with a small hammer or something , i've got a tool that works for strait or 65% fittings but all are made for wide open space . but that 2 piece is a nice idea in case it fails again i just replace the top part.

I'm surprise for as long as XT1 has been out that no one has had this issue and DIY fix it ?? or just bought a new rim for $80. just for the grease fitting ??

They must be open bearings to receive grease from the inside like that.
Pull them and repack them like we always used to have to do in the past.

Not really familiar with the newer ones though so they may just be bushings and not bearings per se??

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
