Default K301 Valves Adjustment & ACR
I rebuilt my K301a and when I adjust the valves at the appropriate gaps at TDC, the exhaust gap is too great for the ACR to move the lifter to engage the valve. If I adjust the exhaust valve at the peak of the ACR, so the lifter engages the valve, then at TDC both valves are just slightly out of sync.

This is on a 129. Replaced points with electronic ignition (Brian Miller), and have good spark. Starter Generator good and new battery.

Any thoughts?

TDC on the compression stroke, Correct??

With or without balance gears?

Did you take care to properly align the timing marks on the crank and camshaft as described in the FSM?
