Default Model 80 saved from the crusher

I picked this up last fall, it came with the deck and the snow blower, for 100 clams.
They said it was all there, but the thing (no clue what its called) to run the blower is missing.
My son and his wife just got a house in the country and needed a mower, so I discovered the spindle's were completely shot, so I had an old Craftsman rider sitting and took the spindle's off the deck massaged them a but and put them on the Cub deck.

It seems like something is missing to secure the deck cause it floats around alot, but it works pretty darn good....

I noticed the pin missing from the deck when looking at the pics, even with it in though it seems like it still moves around a lot...

The trans cooling fan was broken and had to source a new one, I got it for 50 bucks from an online store, the rest of them I found was over 100 bucks, crazy.....

I have the fenders, just didnt get them on yet, wanted to make sure it was gonna work first, there kind of in the way when you gotta work on stuff...

Also gotta fabracobble some guards for the pulleys....

A little video of the old girl in action...heh:

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
