CV25s thrown rod
I just picked up a mower that had a CV25S engine in it with a blown rod. While the rods and such are fixable, I want to know if I need the governor gear assembly. I'm trying to do the bare minimum here.

I am not sure there is a bare minimum when dealing with a broken rod.
There has to be reason the rod broke in the first place. I would spend some time trying to determine why it broke before I bought anything. Otherwise your just spending money and time. Hard telling what damage was done leading up to the time it broke. Let us know what ya see. Do you have a way to make some accurate measurements? Bore, crank, etc.? Ken
