I just used it to do my tank. It's reusable for several uses so don't just dump it away when you're done. Run it through some cheesecloth to catch the chunks of rust and then re-bottle it.
I have also used this with great success. I have been using the same gallon container of Evap-O-Rust for over 10 years now. If there's flaky rust in the tank I let it sit for a day or so, turning it every few hours to make sure all surfaces get soaked. If it's not bad it may only take an hour or so. Make sure to fill it back with gas fairly quickly because once it's cleaned to bare metal it will flash rust pretty quickly if you let it sit empty.

Anywhere. Big Box stores, Auto Parts store, Farm/Ag Stores, Hardware stores, even Wal-Mart.

Default Response to R Bedell

Oh, okay. I’ve never noticed it before in stores. Thanks for letting me know. I’ll look next time I’m in town.

Default Just checking

I’m just making sure because I’ve never done this before.
Evapo-Rust will not cause flash rust, correct? I know vinegar would.
The DAWN and warm water will not cause flash rust so long as I get the MMO in there after rinsing thoroughly, correct?

Flash rusting is not caused by vinegar nor Evapo-Rust.
It is caused by humidity (moisture) in the air attacking the newly cleansed ferrous metal of the tank.

MMO to prevent flashing was a suggestion, not a requirement.
Any thin, mild lubricant that you can fully coat the inside of the tank with will suffice,
Something such as transmission fluid or light oil reduced with kerosene.
Then just rinse the tank out with gasolene before using.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
