When CCC went to the Aluminum Rear End (at S/N: 720,000>), that is when this PTO became obsolete.

The rear PTO option (433 rear pto kit) was available when the IH built 982 came out in 1979 and was available up to the end of the cyclops run in 1997. As far as I know, the only difference is the rear cover plate to that kit.

Yes, both the IN & CCC SGT's had available a Rear PTO. However, the versions were different between IH & CCC. The IH version bolted to the rear plate of the Cast Iron rear end. The 190-433-100 Rear PTO was a kit available for tractors with s/n greater than 720,000 (aluminum rear end).

The clutch on both versions bolt to the top bearing bracket. The only different part is the rear cover plate as far as I know.

Simple mater to pull up both versions in the parts lookup and compare part numbers.

I do know, on the rear PTO on the 2072 I have, the casting number on the gear housing is an IH number and that unit is now on my 2086.

I can produce the cover plate for either version.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
