I just slapped the Chinese carb on with proper float bowl adjustment. It was way off, FINSRUCKW nailed it.

Good stuff on checking float level on new carb. If you have more than one Cub that uses the same carb, its nice to have one cleaned up and you know is ready to go, while you soak and work on the problem. It's only a hobby.

Exactly 'cause I got 5. All Quietline. Two are 1200's two are 1000's and one is parts. I only use 1 and one half of them anymore. The one that this thread applies is one I gave my son. Deal: free 1200 if he mows my yard...1/4 acre

I have had good luck with Berryman carb cleaner. It’s in a gallon can like paint and has a basket the you place parts on to soak overnight, but only metal parts.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
