Hydro lift

Once again I need help from the members in the know. My Son in Law just delivered a cub 1862 that I bought in Maryland. I was showing the tractor to my friend and the lift lever on dash will not lift deck. I looked at exploded views on line and it shows the hydro line coming directly out of the back of slave cyl. to be hooked up to the lever bracket nearest toward the back of tractor. It is hooked to the front of the lift box. Would this cause this not to work correctly? If I need to change them will fluid just possibly drip out of connection or will it be under pressure and shoot out? Thanks for looking and for your help in advance. Have a great day.

Went down in garage this morning and switched the 2 hydro lines. Deck will raise and lower now.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
