Narrow frame rear lift questions
Hi everyone. I found a narrow frame rear lift kit on Craigslist that I kind of want for my model 70. I’ve included the link below. From what I’ve seen, $90 is a pretty good deal. Anyways, I had a couple questions about it.
What’s the rod that pins the large casting to the frame that’s missing called? What purpose does this setup serve? https://greenbay.craigslist.org/grd/...622043467.html Thanks for any info.

Thanks for that link.
Yeah, he must’ve just dropped the price after I made the post. I have someone going down to that area anyway picking up some stuff for me so I will try to get it. I couldn’t find one of those pins online, but maybe I could make one or use something else?

It's just a straight piece of bar stock, nothing special but should have been offered with it.
But I did notice that it includes part #19 which is the lift bar plate and lever for a NF Cub w/hydraulic lift. So if you ever run across one of those setups you will be ready to rock, roll and lift in that department!! I'd be curious as to what happened to all those parts. If he did at one time have the hydraulic lift parts and has already sold them then someone came out on the short end of that deal as they will need that part to install it on their machine. You got your monies worth. |

Unfortunately, the guy that was going down there to pick up the stuff for me is no longer able to go down there. If anyone is going to the Green Bay/Milwaukee/Cedarburg area in Wisconsin anytime soon and taking a route up through Lincoln County home and willing to do me a favor or be paid a negotiable amount, please let me know. There’s 2 things that I want down there, a Lawn-Boy tiller and the CC narrow frame rear lift. Thanks.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
