The answer is NO for a "plug & play".

The 127 is a NF standard GT, while the 2072 is a WF SGT. The only way that would work, is with Metal, Hack Saw, & welding.

Thanks mine is an 89.
I thought that the 89 was the last year for the 2072?
I got my new pto belt on thanks to you guys telling me which one to buy. I ripped out a wire that powers the pto switch. One end was female spade the other was a splice. Lo9ks like that happens alot. My belt bent sheetmetal and a wire. I have a 89 12-8 wheel horse I can buy a plow and axle hitch for 200.00 so I might do that.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
