Default QA 42 127 Belt Size Lift Arm

Just picked up a QA42 for my 127 and it did not come with a belt or lift arm.
What size belt should I be looking for and will the lift arm from my blade work for the blower or will I need a different one, if I do what size will I need?

First, welcome to OCC......

The belt is a IH-487043-R1 which is 3/8" x 28" .

The Lift Rod is a IH-473924-R1. You may get lucky and find one. It is simply a 1/2" rod, with each end bent to a 90° angle. I don't have one to tell you the length. Maybe someone will chime in with the length dimension.

Easy enough to make a lift rod
Set the tractor with all 4 wheels on 3/4" boards and set the thrower on the floor
with the shoes intact and leveled however far below the cutting edge you desire.

Place the lift, be it either manual, electric or hydraulic, in the lowered position and measure the distance between the hole centers in the thrower lift bracket and the hole in the lift bracket that should be installed, if not already on your tractor.

This is the bracket you may need to complete the installation.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
