The 1572 is Back in Operation
I got the 1572 back to grass mowing this year after its full restoration. If you missed that thread, I will post a link below. Diesel Doctor did an awesome job on the restoration. But I did not do that for it to be a trailer queen, I had it done to be used.
Last week I went to use it and it would not turn over, only the glow plugs and fuel pump would work. The ignition switch was bad. I had just given it a little bath with a garden hose, it was filthy. It then sat out in a 10 minute summer shower and see the picture below of the result. I had to remove the battery tray to get it out. There is not enough room to get it out on the bottom by removing the tunnel cover. It was an aftermarket switch and I went back with an OEM. I am going to take the switch apart and see how bad the corrosion is. On to the next issue. I was mowing with yesterday and the PTO shut off like it had broken a belt. The issue was the PTO connector had come disconnected. I found the Packard connectors from previous thread and I have a question for those who have purchased these before. This is a 56 series connector. Do I just need to order terminals for a 56 series connector with the proper AWG size? https://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/...hlight=rebirth
