If one choses to use any fuel, be advised if you didn't know,
how "Blender pumps" work A blender pump is one that disperses various fuel octanes, and or various types of fuel. So say the previous customer purchased the lowest octane available, and you are the next person to use the pump. Be advised the first 1 to 3 gallons out of the hose, metering chamber, and associated plumbing is going to be the previous purchasers selection. Now this is no problem if you are pumping a large amount of fuel into your vehicle. But say you are just filling a 1 gallon can or even 5 gallons, yall' ain't getting what you paid for, or want. If the previous purchaser pumped premium, well you are gettin' a quantity of that also. Where the problems arise is if it is E-15 or more, as is available in some stations/states it can cause problems in not only engine fuel systems but Motorcycles that only have a 3 to 5 gallon tank that state no warranty is valid using E-15 or more fuel, and it can do damage to the engine. Larger stations can afford to have specific pumps that are not blender type pumps. But a small convince store. like a mom/pop operation may only have one pump for gas or possibly a second for Diesel. Various groups over the years have lobbied to make it mandatory that any fuel over 10% alcohol, have its own pump and be clearly marked as such. All too often, elected representatives, although many well meaning, are not familiar with the very things they are making laws about. Some of us remember the MTBE additive fiasco , that I'll not go into here. Just google it if interested |

I'm too cheap for that, but do only run it in the 2 stroke stuff that I have. Either premix or I make it. Way too easy to let one sit on the shelf too long w/ ethanol in there.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
