Default Pulling questions

kind of curious about pulling. It would be something new for me and something I wouldn't mind trying out. But before I get to far, what is everyone's preference for pulling cubs? As in if I tried out the stock class, what is everyone running? Tell me why you chose the cub you did and what work you have done to it. I understand about milling, shaving heads, boring, and other various mods. I'm just tying to get a general feel for pulling before I decide if I truly want to get into it or not. let's see what you got.

Find a local club and get a copy of the rules before you do anything

Personal preference is the best choice.... pick a gear drive model of your favorite series.

There is Western New York Garden Tractor Pullers Association. Dont know much about them.

Then there is Brookfield Garden Tractor Pullers Association. These guys are great. They have pullers come from all around CNY and beyond.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
