Default Lock nuts on PTO on my K-301

I had one of the special bolts on my 125 back out and got damaged. When I replace bolt, spring, nut and lock nut should I put thread lock on or make darn sure I have the nuts tight together?Any other suggestions or tips? Thanks

Default Make sure they're tight!!!

Make sure those nuts are tight! you wouldn't want them to back out on you again! here's a picture i pulled from a PDF with some specs for you. a good idea would be also to make sure your bearings are greased and don't appear damaged or worn. if the bearings are worn you should probably replace those too.

If you are talking about the three bolts that go through the fingers to adjust and hold the clutch together then after the adjustment is made tighten the top nut down against the lower one snugly , use a thin ( usually need to grind one down ) 7/16 wrench to hold the lower nut while tightening the top one, don't over do it or you'll snap them off ! I never used any thread locker and never had any come apart !

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
