Out for a while.....Times have changed.
Hello All. I have been away for quite some time with life happening. I am sorry to hear about Roland's passing. I always appreciated his even-keeled temperament when things got heated at times. Today, my family held visitation for my mom's calling hours at the funeral home, so I know all too recently about that loss. Roland, along with many, many others has always made me feel like the people I have met on OCC are like family, even down to my adopted Uncle Lewy. I have bought, sold, and met many people from this site and all of them have always treated me right. So, I chose to come back here on a day when I felt some emptiness in my heart only to hear this sad news. I am grateful for this experience and I am glad to hear that OCC will continue with the same tradition that I have already known it to have in very capable hands of its moderators and members, both senior and new. I cannot think of a better honor for Roland than continuing something that he was passionate about. I think I am going to go have a drink now and raise my glass high in honor of both my mom and Roland in a toast to celebrate the power of how one's life can have such a powerful impact on so many others and forever change the world! Have a blessed day my friends and family.

Thank you so much fellas. Today was our service for her and we chose a more traditional hearse for the arrangements. I did not want to detract or derail from the original posts and hope I did not do so, but like I said, I have always viewed OCC as part a brotherhood (and sisterhood with some of our fairer members) where we trust each other in our dealings and help each other out as we would our (extended) family. Maybe this is just me riding the emotional roller coaster right now, but after reading about the generosity of others to continue Roland's project and reading posts after posts of people helping people, I am convinced that is exactly what I have witnessed. Kind of strange to me how just two colors, yellow and white, can paint such a colorful picture of friendship!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
