cub cadet ltx 1046 solenoid wiring
Starter was only clicking when I turned key. Put on new starter and solenoid and now it does nothing. Have new battery, fuse and switch also. Have a red wire that i don't know where it was connected . Could this be the problem.

See my attached photo, it looks like the red wire could have possibly went where I had it circled:

It would be helpful to check, and follow the wiring diagram.
Usually they are found on the 'net if you haven't already downloaded it. That will also help when you are systematically checking why you have the original problem. It is always better to check and test first, before firing the parts cannon at a problem. Sadly, in todays world of poor quality replacement parts, near 1/2 of parts are either counterfeit, not OEM and/or defective right out of the box. Luck! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
