IH Cub Cadet Paint Options, Help?
I think I’m going to restore my IH Cub Cadet 70 this upcoming Summer. At least the engine anyways since I have it all apart for rebuilding. And the wheels too since I’ll be putting on new tires too. So I might as well do the whole thing! How hard can it be? I’m wondering what spray paint you guys have used for IH built Cub restorations? I don’t really want to spend $33 per can on genuine CC paint. I can’t seem to find the Rustoleum Mongolia yellow anywhere which I read about on this forum. I found this 6 pack of yellow at Lowe’s…
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Rust-Oleum-...-oz/5014273583 What are the reasonably close paints? Here are the 2 options I’ve found so far for white… Are they close to each other? What other options are there? The $33 one seems like a lot… https://www.amazon.com/CUB-CADET-759...s%2C159&sr=8-2 https://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-77...59&sr=8-3&th=1

Thanks for the reply RedHawCadet. I’ll keep almond white in mind.
I bought 2 cans of mariegold gloss Rust-Oleum spray paint and 2 cans of white metal primer. Will this paint work on the engine block though considering heat? Do I need to buy this… No one locally has it. https://www.amazon.com/VHT-SP128-Eng...000CPAV7A?th=1 What have you guys used to paint engine blocks?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
