Cub Cadet 1912 rock shaft question
Ok Cub Superfriends, unite! I have been noticing when mowing and with the blower attached that everything hangs a little lower on the right side. I realized the rockshaft is bent on the "ear" that goes up into the hydraulic cylinder assembly. I'm thinking about maybe bending it back but I'm afraid that might weaken it, and I also think the shaft itself is twisted or bent allowing things to hang lower on the right. (deck and blower, remember the blower is a 364 which attaches to the underneath lift arms). I believe this happened when I had a snow blade on it for a short time and was pushing stones around. It doesn't look like it would be too hard to replace but my question is what part is it? I see some on eBay and on Patton Acres that look identical, but have different part numbers. I can't hardly think a regular GT one would fit an SGT, but some are listed like they do. The part number for mine I believe is Cub Cadet 703-0838. But there's this: and Cub Cadet 759-3122, and Cub Cadet 703-2001. I'm just not sure which one I actually need.

Use an adjustable link on the side that is bent. Or is it that bad.

According to the parts drawings it looks like one is multiple pieces and the other is all one piece. I'm not sure what my serial number is, I'll have to check on it. But looking at it from underneath it's definitely all one piece. I'll look at the serial number next time I go out to my shed.

That's a decent idea, but the part that's bent the worst is the "ear" that goes up into the hydraulic cylinder. It prevents the lift from lifting the whole way because it's bent.

Bend it for now and replace it when you get the new one.
