Need help with haban 60" mower on a 2086
I have a 60" haban mower on a 2086 that is not mounted correctly. The center pulley on the deck rubs on the right side of the lift frame. I know I could shim with washers and bend stuff, but I feel certain the mower was not mounted correctly.
The v shaped plate that you can see in the first picture is not right. It does nothing but rattle. I am surprised that it has not fallen off as it is not attached to anything. Any help would be very appreciated as I should have already mowed the grass. |

I'm wondering if you have the inner frame and deck hangers mounted in the opposite holes of the outer frame. Try mounting the inner frame to the outer frame using the center holes. The lift hangers would then be attached using the front holes on the outer frame. Not 100% sure as I am not very familiar with your deck.
Sam Mac would know for sure...he knows just about everything there is to know about supers and Habans! |

Well for starters part # 2 is on backwards. Item circled in red. Also check to see if the rear mount on the deck is cracked or bent, the Haban's have a bad habit of breaking the rear mounts. Pics are of one that I fixed up. It had been bubble gummed by a PO. Re-welded and braced, no more problems.
On another note take a good look at the bolts that attach the rear end to the frame, the Supers are notorious for breaking the bolts and the front mounts. I strongly suggest you get a set of rea rend braces from Xtreme https://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Rea...d%20Parts.html

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
