Your welcome Ken

My wife would kill our Kids and Grandchildren if they didn't do Maintenance on their machines, at least. My wife was a Tractor Mechanic In the Past The Grandchildren are still young enough not to be shot at dawn for forgetting. But our 3 kids especially my youngest(John Deere, design engineer), would be shot if he forgot to do the Basics of Maintenance On His tractors.

Default Stuck rim

I cannot believe this machine is still in my shop but it is. The reason
being I cannot get the left rear tire off to change it.

Have been spraying and heating and all manner of everything for
3 days and it will not budge.

Started with a metal bar and a 2x4 between rim and frame. Drove
a wedge between them till I was afraid I would crack the rim or frame.
Drilled 2 holes in the rim and put my puller on it. Maxed out my 1/2
impact and can't budge it. Actually started to tear the rim out on the
back side from so much pressure.

Seems a little crazy to be asking how do you get a rim off a tractor?
But there it is.

Time to get the sawzall out to cut the tire off the rim and replace it with the stuck wheel still on the tractor...and be done with it!

Did you take off the c clip? Also try tapping in the key to loosen that part of it up, otherwise keep soaking

Thought about this bet figure there is no way I am tough enough to get
the tire back on. Maybe 30 years ago I would have been. Maybe

Yep the clip is off for sure. Although I have spent a bit of time staring
at it and wondering where the secret set screw is that holds it all together.

Soak soak soak

Be careful with the heat. There is an axle seal right at the end of the transmission housing waiting to be ruined. BTDT

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
