Default How Many Hours on Your Onan?

I have an Onan Elite 14 hp in my CC, currently running 1,229 hours on it. Was curious how many hours you have. The engine was produced in 1996, well taken care of and regular maintenance.

Also curious what a life expectancy in hours would be as an average for these engines.

Not many frequent this site with that Onan. Most will be the twin Onan that came in older tractors.
My twin Onan has 870 or so.

Best little engine! Not sure how many hours but well over 1,000. On my 2145. I'm and backyard mechanic but have managed to keep it running. Also have a 3225 and can't get it to run! My 2145 pto keeps falling out after getting warm, just replaced the solenoid but it's still going!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
