Default All I wanted was a deck

All I wanted was a deck for my 149 so I could cut grass since mine locked up. I found one on marketplace with a tractor and blade. Owner didn't want to separate so now I'm the owner of a 126!

Congrats!
You are now the owner of the 3rd rarest IH Cub produced with a production run of 5247 units!

Great candidate foe a restoration.
I hope you take good care of it!

Agreed! And one in pretty decent shape. A bath is going to reveal a pretty nice rig.

Congrats!

Good information. I will definitely take care of it or make sure it gets to someone who will if I decide I don't want to mess with it.

Yeah. I would like to get it washed up soon. To see what I'm working with.

Not running. He said it needs carb cleaned, battery, and fuel lines ran.

He's not lying!

That is a diagnosis that includes about 90% of non starting cubs. The other 10% need the points cleaned.

Let us know how it goes!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
