Default XT2 LX42 Enduro Mower Deck Question

I currently have another thread posted here on my recently acquired Cub Cadet. I am just getting ready to go out and troubleshoot that issue but, before I do, I have one other item I want to ask about.

The 450 pixel wide limitation may cause issues but I am interested in the tab that the white arrow points to in the picture.

I have placed a machinist square next to it to show the amount of angle this tab has relative to the side of my mower deck.

Do others with this same deck have this same angle on this tab?

When I try to attach the bagging system to my mower deck, the rod that engages this tab's hole just barely reaches it. It doesn't seem right and I think if the tab were more perpendicular to the side of the deck it would work better.

But before I go beating on it with a hammer, I was wanting to compare mine to other folks that have this same mower deck on the same Cub Cadet.

Here's a couple more pictures showing how the Grass Chute Pin engages that tab on the Mower Deck.

The Chute Pin just barely sits in the Tab's hole.

This just doesn't seem right to me.

Personally, I'd bend it to where it will work, maybe heat it first.
But if your antsy about doing that, take the pictures to a Cub dealer and ask.

Bend it back, looks overbent.

I would make it 90 to the rod you're trying to mount, not the deck.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
