Default Back into cubs, 1450

Just picked up this very clean 1450, has sat for idk how long and has some issues. The pto switch is broke and the ignition is bad, I did how ever get it to run. This has to be a very low hour unit or it was very well kept. Shows no evidence of a repaint and looks to be all original. It is however missing the side panels. Definitely more to come from this girl. Pictures do not do this thing justice, even came with a very clean 42” deck.

Actually the guy I got this from I had just got a 1541 and a 1863 from, this one was just in too good of shape to pass up. Just couldn’t pass it up.

I will have to get pictures tomorrow but there is a paper tag on the wiring harness I found the other day. Would that be from the factory? Has a date on it but I don’t remember what year.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
