Default Remove rear axle carrier 1641?

Hello all-
I tried to search the forum before asking a redundant question... but is there a trick to removing the rear axle carrier on a 1641?
The top two bolts on each side snapped off (as I have seen is a common issue with these). So I have removed the remaining bolts that attach it to the differential. I also removed the c clip and slid the axle out. I just can't seem to free the axle carrier off the differential housing.
Is it the seal between the parts that has glued it shut? Or is it the "stud" of the broken bolts that is keeping the pieces together? I am trying not to break anything further then it is broken...
Thanks for any info!

What top two bolts? Do you mean the rear ale housing? You have to hit it a little harder as they are siliconed together.

Thanks for the reply! There are 5 bolts around the housing. The top two on each side snapped (I believe due to the torque of the wheels). The bottom 3 were fine and backed out no problem. But the top two had the threaded part of the bolt still in the housing. I just wanted to see if it might be the threaded part of the bolt still runs through both pieces or if it was just adhesive holding it together. I will try a giving it a little more "english" and see if the seal releases.
Thanks again!

Aren't there 6 bolts?

Check your front tabs on the transmission also. It sounds like your rear was loose and caused the bolts to break. This is a common issue.

Here is where my 2072 was broken before I welded it back in place.

I suggest that you get a rear brace kit to keep this from happening again.

I have a center section if you need it. I already sold the axles and axle housings. I will GIVE it to you as I am getting ready to toss it, I am in VT.

Thank you so much for the kind offer! But I should be all set. I am just waiting for some new seals to arrive so I can put it all back together. Fortunately I didn't have anything on the transmission snap off such as Oak showed in his picture. I had a yellow bolt on bracket snap that supported between the transmission and the frame. I was able to find another to replace it.
Thanks again!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
