Default Throttle cable melting
Hi guys,
I purchased a XL LT46 cub cadet last year. I have had issues with the throttle cable overheating and then gets stuck. I have put two on already. Wrapped them both with high temp heat tape. Also tied them off away from valve cover/exhaust. Cut the 3 acres of grass then put machine in garage. Next day cable is stuck again from melting . I have 20 hours on this thing and really have no help from cadet. I think I'm going to fabricate a sheet metal plate to protect the cable? Anyone else having this issue

Are you sure you have a good engine ground? If not, it may be trying to ground through the throttle cable.

Still under warranty, I would take it back to the dealer and let them figure it out. You may void the warranty f'ing around with it.
