Lets see those 2024 gardens
I'm running late this year, again.
Planted (8) 40' rows of Bodacious Hybrid Sweet Corn on April 27th so that should be ready to eat about 1 week after the 4th of July. I tilled between the rows yesterday and planted (8) more rows too. IMG-7365.jpg I planted 4.5 40' rows of Pontiac Red potatoes on April 1st. I hilled them last week and tilled between the rows yesterday while I had the tiller out. IMG-7362.jpg My tomato & jalapeno seedlings are not doing too good this year. They still look puny. I switched to LED grow lights thinking they would do better but so far they don't look good.

Picked my 8 rows of corn I planted back in late April. Looks like it turned out pretty good for not using any pesticides on it. The 2nd batch I planted a few weeks later got tilled under because it didn't come up much. Talking with a friend and I found out I planted it wrong. I put the corn down and then the 10-10-10 right on top of it and it burned the seed. I planted another 10 rows a few weeks ago (I don't know why) and it is up about 4" now and could use a good tilling & fertilizing but it is too hot right now. Maybe later this week that will happen.
We cut all our corn off of the cob and vacuum seal them for the freezer. IMG-7862.jpgIMG-7865.jpgIMG-7870.jpg

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
