1527 dies when hot???
1527 ran fine all spring... then 3 weeks ago it died after 90 minutes of mowing. I let it cool a few hours and it started right up.
The next week it died after 15 minutes... would start when cool again. Today it died after 7 minutes..... After it dies, the engine will crank,. but not start. I have let it die ...then checked both coils (I have spark) and fuel pump. (still have gas heading to the carb.) Oil is good and air filter clean. I'm leaning toward an electrical issue, but TBH I'm not very handy tracking those down.... Any suggestions on what or where to check? 17hp kawasaki. |

I would digitally check the temperature of the coil, report back here, thats the direction I'd go for a start.Make sure if you replace the coil, you research and get the correct one.Good luck

Vapor lock.
Ethanol boils at a lower temp than regular non ethanol. Been really hot here as of late, same issue. So I switched to non ethanol in my GTX2154 W/the CH680. The flywheel screens MUST be clean and not restricted by grass clippings or debris. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
