Charging Issues
Is this ok for my Cub Cadet 108.. it has a brand new USA Made VR new wiring harness. New/Used SG from a working and charging machine.
https://streamable.com/ei73jk I have 2 brand new VR and both does this. One is from ccspecialties and other from Ebay.. the ccspecialties one is unknown brand and Ebay one is made in USA. I know the Cub will stay running even with the battery disconnected so i know its charging.. But I do not want to boil my new battery. |

Check that you have the labeled terminals on the regulator connected to the proper places they need to be.
It is common for regulators that the terminals are in different places/location. |

I'm leery of any new voltage regulators you can purchase today..... But.... What ol'george said AND make sure you have good ground to the VR.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
