Default Straightened bent NF Snow Blade undercarriage

Hi all!
I bought a snow blade for my 102, but the undercarriage legs were bent to one side. I figure whatever the guy hit probably sent him over the hood and into orbit, and I figured straightening the legs would require a whole lot of heating and hammering that I am not equipped to do. But, I found that this was not the case. One of the legs I was almost able to unbend by fixing a piece of scrap shelving channel to it with heavy duty C-clamps. I was then able to clamp the channel to the other leg, and then using a bottle jack, straighten the first almost straight leg. The I switched the channel back to the first leg, repositioned the bottle jack and was able to go between a hand bend and the jack to get both legs straight. None of this required any torch heating at all. IMG_7028.jpg

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
