Default GTX 2000 leaking from transmission.

The lever that allows freewheeling pulls a little arm that pushes up a little button on the transaxle. When I recently bought this tractor there were no leaks, but now it leaks from this little button or relief valve. I can't find this part in the manual. Has anyone else had this problem / replaced this part? Where can I find the part number? is it a hydrogear part?

It's on the parts look-up from above for the 2013 model but not the 2012 model.

I'd call Hydro-Gear and confirm the part on your pump.

Default Thanks for the info

I really appreciate your help. I crawled around and cleaned up the transaxle and I think I found the issue. The Transmission filter was not as tight as it could be. It must have been seeping around that valve. The transmission filters see a lot more pressure than the oil filters. I tightened it up and drove around for a half hour it seemed to be ok. I have a pan under it tonight to see if we get any more drips. Thanks, again.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
