Which tires?
Hey guys, finally got a cub,a 129. Tires on rear are 23x10.5x12 turf tires. I also got a set of loaded, with weights on them,23x8.5x12. I plowed the garden a week ago and found the 10.5 width ran over part of the previously plowed furrow. so I'm thinking of going to 8.5 wide ag tires. Are Deestones better than BKT's? Anyone with a preference? Miller tire in Ohio, have the same price on both. BKT are 6 ply, Deestone are 4 ply. i'm going to be using this tractor for mostly garden duty with some lawn use, just pulling a cart around to help wife in flower beds and such. Sorry for long post.Just excited to start my cub affair.lol thanks for the help, more questions to come.

Probably neither choice would be wrong.
Between Deestones and BKT's I have no idea which is better, but if they are the same price, 6 ply seems to be a good choice even though you will never have enough weight on a Cub Cadet to need 6 plys. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
