Great to see your 125 making chores easier Ken. That's why I love my 108, it always comes in handy working around the yard. With all that land you have down there, you must never stop working.

re: steering problem on my 102
I Solved the steering issue a few weeks back. And today, I went over my 102, cleaned the soot off the spark plug, checked head bolts and tightened a couple of them. ALso noticed a rear pivot bolt on the starter generator had snapped. I was able to use a screw extractor to remove the broken off bolt and replaced it. Thoroughly enjoyed the job too. So simple are these machines! I also cleaned the outside of the engine and carb, aired up the tires in front (3 bar type) and checked the rears (turfs) added 30 weight to the rear end, and then had some fun mulching leaves and hauling a bunch of old rail road ties to a spot for the disposal guys to more easily load them. I adore this machine!

I started getting my 882 ready for winter. I took the mower deck off and put the plow on. I still have to put the chains on, but I’ll wait a while yet to do that. It’s not looking like we will be getting snow anytime soon.
Last winter I got a flat tire while I was plowing, so I put a different wheel and tire on until I could get a tube for it. I kind of forgot about it until a couple weeks ago. I got the tube in and put it back on. I have been asked a few times how much the wheel weights on this weigh, but I didn’t know. Since I had to take the one off to change the wheel, I weighed it. 105 lbs. each, so 210 total. Big difference from the factory IH ones that weigh 26 lbs each. These are not fun to put on and take off.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
