I was looking at deestone rears for my 782d I would like to put duals on for rolling lawn and pulling stuff where do I find cheap rims to put on it and what is the best spacer I was looking at the ones that are a steel ring that goes in between the tires and you would use carriage bolts to hold them together.or would a set from extreme motor works be better the only thing is they aren't cheap.

Also took this opportunity to get the sleeve hitch casting mounted.
This machine had the frame bosses, so I cut a piece of 5/8 hot rolled at 11.5" and drilled 2x holes for the hitch pin clips. ![]() These smaller Deestones certainly rake the tractor backwards more than it was before.

My experience changing from 4 ply to 6 ply on a pick up truck was that the 6 ply tires were more stiff. When I towed a trailer with the 6 ply tires, I had a lot less trailer sway. Cornering was more solid.
In the case of a garden tractor, I would suspect that a 6 ply will bite in better and a softer tire will do less damage to soft surfaces. The heaviest I have used on a pickup were 10 ply mudders. Even if I aired down to 12psi, those stayed stiff. The contact patch didn't grow. The off road guys who do a lot of "rock hopping" seem to like those because they are hard to tear up. I think that R2 tread style tires in 10 ply are available in sizes that fit on the wide rear Cub Cadet rims. I don't know that super stiff industrial tires like that would provide an advantage here. I mostly see those tires on skid steer equipment.
