Got the 124 runnin after sitting 15 years!!

Well, tore into the 124 tonight. Pulled the dash, then the engine. Went to pull out driveshaft and couldn't get either spirol pins to budge. So I split the tractor in half to get better access to the pins, they were mushroomed on both sides. So I cut off one side of pin with angle grinder then wacked away for at least 15 min.s and it started to move Still took about 10 minutes of wacking to get it out, but finally she went Last pic is of broken teaser spring and a washer that was Destroyed!! Throwout bearing feels good so a teaser is all I think I need.

Question. What happens when the teaser spring goes??

Sometimes the small pieces jam the clutch and it won't release,I do think the teaser spring makes the clutch less sensitive when engaging and disengaging.

That's good news Lew! That was po's reason for parking it in the 1st place, he thought it was to old of a tractor to sink money into so he just went out and bought a new one. He picked up a Massey that ran until a couple years ago and he did the same with that, parked it and went bought a new one. He should have just repaired the 124 back in the day and he'd still be running it
