I would share but they're on another forum. If you google Original cub cadet hydraulic lift, you'll find some stuff on it.

Good luck in finding the correct double pulley for the drive. I have 4 hydro set ups. 1 for the original but have yet to find the correct drive pulley. The large pulley is smaller then the later year hydro units as someone has stated. I think it's 1 inch smaller is diameter. I was going to get it machined but never did.

Well, one of the pulleys(see pic) on one of my O's has 4 holes already tapped for bolts. I'm going to just bolt on another pulley, and from my investigation, the pulley to drive the hydro unit is the same size as the drive pulley. At least the 71's aux. pulley is the same size as the O's drive pulley from what I can see. I'm still on the fence about it, but I'm leanin towards doing it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
