Default Cadet 60 is finally going!

Todaty I fiddled around with the Cadet 60 again and finally got it running better than before! I adjusted the governor and bent/moved the throttle cables. With you guy's help I got it running beautifully!. Thanks a lot. Now I've still got to get some more rust out of the gas tank, but at least it runs!
Thanks!

Today, I loaded up the Cadet and took it to a lady's house to mow her lawn. I was extremely pleased with how well it die. Before the adjustments I did, I couldn't even engage the deck without killing it. Now even with weak compression it drives right up the trailer ramp and mows beautiful. Maybe this summer I will rebuild the engine. No pics quite yet, but I'll work on someone to take some.

I'm hoping you were not meaning that the little IH died... I'll assume you were meaning 'did'...

If you don't have time to go through the engine, I've heard of a guy who did a 4H project with a tired briggs, did compression, ran some 're-store' in it (measured out to be the right proportion of oil and restore) for a few hours, and while compression wasn't outstanding, it was significantly better. Might be worth a shot. Just be sure to shake the can well, the little particles settle with shelf time!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
