New to the family 804
Got a little riding mower today. Thought it would go good with my 1712. When I saw it, I knew that it would be going home with me. It seems to run great. An boy that mower deck. The grass will not stand a chance any more. I'm half scared to crack the throttle, because of how fast the mower blades spin. It do have its problems. The rubber bushing that the engine plate sits on are gone. An so it the drive belt. But that it and that's all a quick fixs. Hope to have it up and mowing the yard in a week or two.

Thanks, cannot wait til I got it up and running. That first mowing will be so sweat. Back on a cub again. In time I would like to find the parts to finsh the bagger system. All i got is what you see and the two bags.
Do anyone know if there is a mutcher setup for the 804. The deck seems to have great vaccum and lift. Just wonder if I can set it up for mutching. Any help would be welcomed. Thanks matt |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
