Almost destroyed my engine....
ALWAYS GET A GOOD QUALITY TORQUE WRENCH......... After my 2nd pull my motor started knocking. I was leading after the 2 round. Well the rain came and canceled the rest of the race.
Still won the event... Removed the motor and took it apart and the rod bolts were loose. Maybe I forgot to tighten them. Should I put lock tite on the new rod bolts. (new rod) I also have to replace the crankshaft. Will a loose rod end cap cause a vibration in the motor? I had alot of vibrations the whole time. Also the power was lower than normal.. Will this cause lower amounts of power?

I had a the same problem in my 106. i mowed with it for 2 years and it ran great. then for same reason the bolts backed out of the end cap. I was able to save my crank though, i thought it was odd when it happend. well i hope you get it all back together before your next pull

I also went ahead and ordered a new piston and rings. I just replaced the rings in it but kept the old piston a week ago. So i decided to order a new piston, rings, and piston pin while I am back in there. Motor has a fresh honing. Just 3 pulls old. Would you use a little locktite on the rod bolts?
