Default Missed a good deal...

I got on craigslist and found a 169 that was posted in the last few hours for $150.00! I called and it was already gone. Someone just got lucky!

I'm with ya. I just missed a 149 around here, with a snowblower, all for $375... and it all looked very clean in the pics.

When I called, he said he's had over 50 calls, and wished he'd have asked more. I figured Cubcrazy Mike snagged it up.

A couple weeks ago, I forget the model number, but it was a wide frame and had a tiller on the back. Wanted $100 just to get it out of his yard. I was second in line for a call back...never got it.

I was very surprised no one bought the 109 and plow that was listed locally for two weeks at 325. It has a rebuilt engine, runs and cuts.

I ended up giving the guy 100 bucks for the plow and bracket and told him he ought to relist just the tractor for his original asking price.

craigslist is hard to find good deals on, to many people watch it. It seems if you dont call on a good deal in the first hour it is posted then it is gone. That sucks about the 169 that is a killer deal.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
