Quick Coil question
On a CC149, won't fire. Points, and condenser are new. I have nothing more than a test light.
With the key on, the positive side of the coil lights the test light. But so does the negative side !! I assume my coil is bad (been sitting for 2 years in florida heat). Am I correct in my diagnosis ???

NOPE....it just means you have "feed through".
You really need a DVM or a VOM for an accurate test. BUT...you can do the "laymen's method" with a test light. With the key on the on position, connect your test light to a good chassis ground and then touch the positive terminal on the HV Coil. It should light up. Disconnect everything from the negative terminal. Touch the test light on this terminal and it should have some light valve. This would indicate the primary windings are good. If it don't light up........your HV Coil is definitely TOAST. That is about the best you are going to do with a Test Light.
