in over my head a bit... wiring...
i bought a wiring harness for my 147 because i taped up some wires that were bare leading to the voltage regulator... they were so bad i don't understand how any current was flowing through them...
i started exploring with the thought of replacing the harness... i have a diagram btw... on the 147 where the fame is bowed out some, the engine seems to be pinning the wiring harness to the frame... am i going to have to loosen the motor to replace the wiring harness?!? surely not! what's the trick here? and whoever wired this thing used all the same color wire! ugh! the starter is a 4 prong and the connector that came on the harness is 3 pronged... i hope i didn't just open up a huge can of snakes here... jp

Route the harness in the area of the "bow out" underneath the bow.
Sounds like you need to get the correct Ignition Switch.....OR....chop the 3 prong plug off, install some new female crimp connectors, and wire up to the existing switch. Your call.

i'm not sure that the wire will fit under that bow... it's tight... the wire that's there barely moves with very snug tugging... each end has a much bigger section to fit through there
